Johnson Hartig‘s LA digs contain many incongruous pairings. A Damien Hirst ‘Spot’ painting sits next to a 17th-century portrait. Quirky juxtapositions of “things” are the norm for the founder of the fashion label, Libertine, who says of his initial vision to live in a Modernist, minimalist style:
“That lasted for exactly ten minutes.”
I know the feeling. I’ve had the same impulse and I share Hartig’s love of piling on. Our decorating battle cry, although similar I think from the looks of it HIS must be better funded. But, in the end, it’s not about money, it’s about style, right?
